The History

Domaine de la Romanée Conti owns 3.53ha of the 9.14 hectares of Grands Échezeaux, whose soil is determined by the downwash from Le Musigny above. The holding lies at the northern end of the Grand Cru, adjacent to Clos de Vougeot.

The wines have a bit more flesh and are more consistent annually than Échezeaux.
